This is a hybrid drum with a turned solid aluminum shell in the center flanked by a shell made of a solid block of Muiracatiara wood on each side. The mix of materials makes this a very interesting and unique drum. The solid wood delivers a more natural, compressed, aggressive, deeper sound (due to the 12mm thickness), while the aluminum shell resonates with more mid frequencies. And this mix is exactly what makes this snare sound so unique.

Also featuring our Hard Hoop Aluminum hoops with their precise tuning and incredible rim shots (may be ordered with other types of hoop, such as: power, wood, die cast, etc).

Comes in 14″ x 6.5″ and is equipped with solid brass vintage lugs and a supersensitive strainer system, where the snares are bigger than the diameter of the drum (hence the two bridges to secure the snares). We use Dunnet strainers.

Finish is Brushed Old Bronze; the hoops are in anodized bronze. This is a collector’s drum, a drum for the musician who wants a unique and special sound.
