Custom-Shop Hybrid Set
This is an unusual set even by our standards. This prototype was built with shells mixing Araucaria and Aluminum. The wood portion of the shell is the part in a Gold color lacquer with an aluminum inlay. The edges feature rings (shells) in aluminum, with a 45-degree groove, so the drumheads can fit. The hardware in Matte Black gives the final touch to this extremely unique kit.
We showed it at the 2008 Expomusic and people were very excited! Our endorsee Carlos Bala used it at an instrumental music concert at SESC, in Sao Paulo. This is how he defined the sound: “Full of body, short attack and lots of bottom. A drum set with an extremely original and unusual sound for special applications!” – Carlos Bala.
